As a company, UNIT4 talks a lot about embracing change. We see change as the one constant in business and have a solid track record of helping organizations use change as a catalyst for innovation. Today, as we announce the integration of UNIT4 CODA and UNIT4 Business Software into a single North American entity, we aren’t just talking the talk, we ‘re walking the walk.
Our North American business units are truly embracing change. As a combined force, we will strategically position ourselves to drive the development of our flagship solutions, Agresso Business World and Coda Financials, providing the market with world-class and innovative enterprise solutions.
The combined UNIT4 Business Software business will give us greater market presence and reach, allowing us to better serve our North American customer base. It aligns North America with our global UNIT4 counterparts that market Agresso and Coda solutions — and makes it easier for multinational customers to understand and purchase our solutions.
I will be managing the integration of the North American businesses, which we expect to complete during the first half of 2013. Our goal is to ensure a smooth transition that highlights the benefit of the new organization for our customers, our partners, and our staff.
The newly combined entity will be headed by Shelley Zapp as CEO. Shelley joined the company 13 years ago as a development manager, and is based in Victoria, British Columbia. As president for the past eight years, she has led UNIT4 Business Software to double-digit growth. Shelley will begin to make appearances here on this blog throughout the remainder of this year to add her insight and to share her vision for the new entity.
One additional, personal note: after the transition has been completed in the first half of 2013, marking my 27th year of working for the company, I will retire to pursue my passion for aviation. I have many more months to go and a lot to get done before that time. So this is not goodbye. I will continue to write articles for this blog, continue to meet with customers, partners and employees, and continue to embrace change throughout our transition.
